The first national poll after the Third Democratic Presidential Debate, conducted by NBC and the Wall Street Journal finds that former Vice President Joe Biden is in the lead with 31%, but Senator Elizabeth Warren rose in popularity to get a second place ranking with 25%.
The Third Democratic Presidential Debate, hosted by ABC News, featured prolonged talks and arguments about gun control, race relations, and healthcare. Other candidates that are still competing with the top include Senator Bernie Sanders in third place with 14%, and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 7%.
Another section of the poll proved Warren’s growing popularity. When asked about which candidates Democratic voters would be most enthusiastic for, Warren hit the most with 35% of voters saying they were enthusiastic, more than 10% higher than the next candidate.
