In the second day of his three-day state visit to the United Kingdom, Trump has just arrived at 10 Downing Street to meet with Prime Minister Theresa May. May, who is also a conservative, announced her resignation as Conservative Party leader effective June 7, and her resignation of the Prime Minister spot once a successor is found.
On the first day of the state visit, Trump arrived with the Marine One helicopter at Buckingham Palace, where he met the queen and later had lunch with her. After, Trump went to Westminster Abbey, a historic cathedral in London. Later that evening, he once again met with the queen for an evening dinner in front of a small crowd.
While President Trump met with members of the royalty and British government, protestors took to the streets to protest Trump’s stances on multiple issues. Last time Trump visited, it was one of the largest turnouts for a protest in London history, and the famous “Baby Trump” inflatable is being used once again.
