Shots were reported yesterday afternoon at YouTube Headquarters in San Bruno, California. Local authorities in the area were alerted and came to the scene at 12:43 PM, Pacific Time. After hours of standoff, employees were evacuated.
After the standoff, at least four employees were reported to have sustained injuries, but nothing serious, according to the local police. The one dead is Nasim Aghdam is the primary suspect of the shooting, with a self sustained injury.
Aghdam carried a handgun into the main office building, forcing employees to flee while others hid behind desks and offices. Aghdam’s father also said that she went missing for the past few days, and suspected she might come to YouTube headquarters because “she hated the company”.
